the finest comedian ever - in more than one way!

All the celebrities I like...

REM's best fansite (complete with message boards)

See the movie "I want someone to eat cheese with." I know, I should have watched it, but now I am awaiting it's arrival on DVD and then I shall watch and love it. From the previews I saw, it's a very funny, well-written movie, plus Sarah Silverman.

I see stars...

Really, this site is all about the people I fininteresting. Well, people and stuff - "stuff" being those things which interest me that cannot be described as people.

First off, I like Sarah Silverman. She is freaking hilarious. Watch "Jesus is Magic!" if you don't believe me - or go see her show if she comes to your town.

I also like Kevin Smith. What a guy - thank you for immortalizing characters which needed to be displayed for the good of mankind. For the latest film in his collection, try Clerks II, now at your local multiplex as of July 26. And for making comic books cool again (for those of us comic book fans, when were they ever "not" cool?)

I like the guys who draw and pencil Supergirl, Superman, and Batman. They are brilliant artists, masters of the pen and ink.

Thank you to Morrissey and Madonna. And Aimee Mann. Wilco, Ben Folds, and Radiohead. I think of your work often. Elton John is a fantastic piano player. I play keyboards and my favorite players are Herbie Hancock, King John the first (Elton), Billy Joel, David Paich, and the guys who worked with the Thompson Twins. That man in the Thompson Twins with red hair is an excellent singer.

Thank you to the creator of the Incredible Hulk - Stan Lee. If I could ever meet you, I would bow to you. You are truly magnificent and what you did is amazing.

The Incredible Hulk tv series is also very cool as are Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno.

The 1980s were an important cultural era for me in many respects, encapsulating my nascent childhood and giving me much nostalgia with which to remember later. I truly enjoyed the 1980s (albeit not politically) and found the music, television, and movies to be first rate.

To this day if I see an 80s movie or tv show playing, I have to watch. It's a prerequisite for comfort.

Scientists galore - thanks Michael Faraday, and thank you to the men and women who further these arts which are recognized less than entertainment. Without Kay Redfield Jamison, Jung, Leeuwenhoek, Schleiden, Schwann, Virchow, Watson, Crick, Bohr, and all the physicists, chemists, biologists, psychologists, and physicians of various specialties, we would never know what is wrong when we are sick or how an automobile engine works. Or what atoms or stars are made of. Thanks gang!

Thank you 1960s musical acts Spanky and our gang and the Association. You guys knew the right blend of musical and lyrical poetry and how to mix the right instruments, the mellow mood, etc. I also would like to recognize Pete Seeger. What a guy!

Everyone from the 1980s musical new wave and post-punk scene rocks.

In sports, here we go - the Chicago Cubs are the best team ever! Go Cubbies!!! I really like Kerry Wood, Greg Maddux, and Bob Howry as pitchers. Ramirez is good and I wish we still had Sosa but you know, whatever. I went to Wrigley Field and had a big polish sausage and sang "take me out to the ballgame" with Harry Carey - it was one of the best experiences ever! I adore Chicago, and believe it is the finest city in our nation.

Go Cubs!! you are number one.
Go Bears!!!
Go Bulls!!! number one fan - me.
And yes, I am a superfan.

Also, Madonna puts out really good dance music.
Thompson Twins make pop that is catchy, electronic, yet human, with warmth and tender romance.
